L’été Part II: The Jersey Shore
Before you start seeing visions of Snooki and the Situation fist-pumping in your head, let me make something very clear: I have spent nearly every summer of my life at the Jersey Shore, and I can assure you that if your idea of the Shore is based on the show, you need to turn off the TV and decide for yourself. I personally have never seen a parade of promiscuous, spray-tanned guidos on the boardwalk, or anywhere (okay, maybe Tiki Bar or Jenks- but only a handful, and they were from the Bronx, and they were fun to look at). This new image that MTV and the media have decided to bestow upon the Shore makes me sad, because it only represents a fraction of what is real. Yes, I have most certainly gone out at night at the Shore among orange-skinned people; I’ve seen guys who are definitely on steroids in small tank tops, and girls too. Was there techno music? Hell yes. However, I have also experienced these things in Queens. And loved it.
Summer wouldn’t be complete for me without reading a book on the beach and sitting at the water’s edge in Point Pleasant or having drinks with my cousins at the bars in Seaside. Riding bikes to the shops, past beautiful multi-million dollar beach houses, shingles and all. Don’t knock it til you try it. This is what you wear when you go.

Love love love. Saw a cheap bathing suit like that and thought about jt but did not purchase yet. The dress is basically in my closet and I want the perfume! You have, once again, hit the nail on the head. Bravo.
Thanks Love!! Tell me where you saw that bathing suit!
All over Frederic Fekkai Beach Waves, $24.
I was OBSESSED with John Frieda’s Beach Waves Spray, until they discontinued it. Haven’t been able to find a suitable alternative until now!!
Thanks!!
You have the PERFECT hair and texture for it. Try it and you’ll see
You know guys are mostly clueless when it comes to fragrance . We basically wear whatever is given to us. Any advice on how we should actually buy our own stuff?
